Jamie Stires (Director)
Jamie has been working as a director, fight director and teacher for the past ten years and recently made the move back to Chicago. Recent credits include the Court Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Caffeine Theatre, the DiCapo Opera in New York, DePaul University and various other colleges and universities throughout the country. Past productions include; A New Brain, Curse of the Starving Class, Endgame, MacBeth, The Changeling, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Taming of the Shrew, Twelfth Night, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Jamie works as a Casting Assistant for TP&R Casting where she casts for film and television commercials. As a teacher she has taught at The Acting Studio, Asolo Conservatory, the Actors Gym, Western Illinois University, Eureka College, Illinois College and has been a guest instructor at Roosevelt University. She is an Advanced Actor/Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and holds an MFA in Directing from Western Illinois University.
